Steve is a Sydney based jazz guitarist, composer and band leader. His playing brings a relaxed sophisticated vibe, whether in a duo with double bass, or a trio adding drums, or quartet adding keys or a horn. Steve also performs sets as a solo guitarist, playing his own stand alone arrangements of jazz standards and pop tunes, as well as with looper pedal, building live accompaniments of layered guitars. 

Steve studied at the NSW Conservatorium in the early ’90s and over the last 25 years has enjoyed playing jazz, blues, gospel, pop and latin music in Sydney, across the country and internationally. Steve’s repertoire of jazz standards spans a wide range of tunes including swing, latin, blues and ballads and can be tailored to suit your tastes and needs. His guitar/bass/drums trio also performs sets of instrumental pop and rock tunes, blending a jazz attitude with popular repertoire. Think of it as jazz in jeans, not suits! It’s the perfect entertainment for functions where people are mingling and the band can complete the mood you’re looking for. 

Steve’s CD Kthwack! showcases his groove based funk jazz compositions, and his band can also include performances of these original tunes.
