Sydney Afro Cuban band perform salsa, timba, changui and have been together for the past 6 years performing at venues all over Sydney.

The band present a live and dynamic frontline broadcasting a sense of joy and high energy when performing and the rhythm and percussion sections provide the power, fire and finesse needed to propel the music they perform.

Comprised of three trombones, violin, and tres cubano (‘cuban guitar’) on a bed of keyboard, bass, timbales, congas, bongo, guiro and voices, makes the band a very unique lineup. The bands music is inspired by the great orchestras of contemporary Cuban music (from the 70’s through to the present, eg Los Van Van, Elito Revé y su Charangon, Pupy Y Los Que Son Son, Havana de Primera, Sur Caribe and Dan Den) as well as including original material.

In a festival setting the band can provide a solid 60 minute set or, if more appropriate for scheduling, a 45 minute set.
